Marie Holive

Marie Holive brings two decades of experience as an inspirational leader and successful executive to her work at Proteus. As Chief Operating Officer, Marie guides Proteus forward performing the role of Integrator for the business: she is accountable for the P&L results, executes the vision and the business plan holding the leadership team accountable; she creates organizational clarity, communication, and consistency. As Transformation Practice Director, Marie supports clients in clarifying their personal and organizational vision and strategy, identifying required transformations, and discovering new ways to achieve success. Great at listening and building rapport, she tailors her approach to each clients’ objectives, situation, values and challenges. She is especially skilled in helping leaders embrace change and be future-ready while crafting and executing against a vision that truly inspires them and their teams.

Marie began her career at McKinsey & Company, then joined General Electric, where she was fast-tracked through a variety of roles in GE businesses all over the world—including a move to NBCUniversal, where she ultimately became Divisional CEO of International Networks. In those roles, she delivered the digital transformation of a global business, successfully led culture change, and drove double-digit profit growth. Skilled at identifying people’s strengths and matching them with the needs of the business, she repeatedly created a shared vision and inspired her teams to achieve it.

Marie’s diverse background spans engineering, CFO/audit, CEO and board member roles, and her extensive experience in global industrial and media markets allow her to understand deeply how businesses work in this digital age. She can support her clients to successfully navigate the dynamics of complex organizations and rapidly transforming industries.

In addition to her role at Proteus, Marie is also an independent director and chair of the audit and risk committee for GDEV Inc. (NASDAQ: GDEV) and Team Internet PLC (AIM: TIG) and serves as a coach, speaker, and mentor at INSEAD and London Business Schools.

Marie has lived in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and the Middle East, and speaks English, French, Italian, and Portuguese. She holds an MSc from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon, and MBAs from both Columbia and London Business Schools.
