Susie Shapiro

Susie serves as Finance Manager at Proteus, bringing 15 years of experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, and executive-level business partnership within fast-paced, growth-oriented environments. She plays a key role in strengthening financial operations, enhancing internal controls, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting that supports strategic decision-making across the organization.

At Proteus, Susie oversees month-end close, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cash flow management, and compliance processes. She is known for bringing structure and transparency to financial systems, streamlining processes, improving operational efficiency, and translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.

Prior to joining Proteus, Susie held leadership roles at BDO, PwC, and DSB Rock Island, where she advised organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, helping leaders navigate growth, complexity, and financial risk with confidence.

Susie holds a Master of Professional Accounting in Taxation and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Washington. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Minnesota.
