Vanessa Defournier is an executive coach and trainer, known for her communication and engagement skills, her intercultural awareness, and her deep understanding of the impact change can have on individuals and organizations. Fluent in four languages (English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese), Vanessa is well versed in business and cultural dynamics and advises her clients on how to navigate successfully through complex environments and career stages.
Vanessa has worked in international institutions, including the Inter-American Development Bank, for over a decade. She’s sought after by leaders at all levels who want better business results, the skills to lead effectively, and a more balanced personal and professional life.
Before joining Proteus, Vanessa was responsible for designing and implementing employee engagement frameworks and communication strategies for the Inter-American Development Bank. She has also served as advisor to European business owners seeking to develop their operations in Latin America; and she has advised a French university on building strategic partnerships to solidify its brand internationally.
Vanessa has an MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics and an MS in International Affairs from Sciences Po in Paris, where she also received her BA in Political Science. She is certified in Leadership Coaching by Georgetown University.
